If you recently registered a new domain name, but it shows expired, there is a high chance that it has been disabled due to failed registrant email verification.
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) requires that domain registrars verify registrant emails for all registered domain names. As a domain registrar, Jubilee Hosting Services complies with this requirement by requiring that you verify any new registrant email address within 15 days. We do that by sending you verification instructions to your registrant email daily until you complete the verification process.
If you do not verify your registrant email within 15 days, we shall disable your domain. At this point, all services associated with your domain, such as the website, emails, etc., will stop working. Your domain will appear as if it has expired when you attempt to visit your website in a browser.
To resolve this;
- Visit the registrant email you used when you registered the domain name.
- Check and spot the last registrant email verification instructions we sent you.
- Follow the instructions and link in the email to complete the verification process.
- A message indicating that you have successfully verified your registrant email address will appear on your screen.
- Done
In case the registrant email verification link has expired, please get in touch with our support team. We shall be glad to send you a new link.
Once you have completed the verification process, your domain will be automatically reactivated within 30-60 minutes. Kindly note that the reactivation is a fully automated process, does not require our manual action, and cannot be expedited. Therefore, raising a support request will not speed up the process.
Note:
The registrant email verification should never be confused with the billing email verification. The two are different and must both be completed.
